In agricultural practice, many farmers still rely on traditional habits to decide which crops to plant, without scientifically considering soil conditions. In fact, key parameters such as pH, temperature, moisture, electrical conductivity (EC), and nutrient content (N, P, K) play a crucial role in determining harvest success. Neglecting these factors can result in low yields or even crop failure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To address this challenge, the research team at Telkom University developed FLO-FINDER, a smart sensor system capable of monitoring soil quality in real time. FLO-FINDER helps farmers accurately assess land suitability while providing more precise recommendations for crop management and selection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The device is integrated with a mobile application that displays soil condition data as well as location-based weather forecasts. With its compact, portable, and user-friendly design, FLO-FINDER can be operated with a single button and automatically sends data to the smartphone. This makes it easier for farmers to monitor land conditions without the need for repeated manual measurements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to saving time, FLO-FINDER helps prevent excessive fertilizer use, improves the accuracy of land management, and supports more environmentally sustainable farming.
