The rapid advancement of drone technology has brought numerous benefits across various sectors, from military and commercial applications to recreational use. However, uncontrolled drone usage also poses serious challenges, particularly concerning safety and security around restricted areas and critical assets. Threats such as drone misuse for surveillance, smuggling, or potential attacks require more sophisticated and adaptive control systems.
To address this challenge, Telkom University, in collaboration with PT Radar Telekomunikasi Indonesia (RTI), developed the Jammer and Gun Jammer an integrated anti-drone solution designed to detect, disable, and control illegal drones. The system utilizes a combination of long-range radar and multi-frequency jammers, capable of operating in two modes: omnidirectional for wide-area protection and directional for targeted, precise intervention.
Both devices are flexible for use in either static conditions (such as protecting critical assets) or mobile situations (such as on patrol vehicles). The Directional Jammer measures 89 x 29 cm, while the Omni Jammer is 49 x 39 cm. The system provides an effective, efficient, and reliable solution for enhancing defense and safeguarding areas from unwanted drone threats.
